How to Get Cheaper Motorcycle Insurance

Excess or Deductible

Choosing a higher deductible can lower your premium. But make sure you can afford the higher out-of-pocket expense if you need to make a claim.

Dealership and Garage Repairs

While the Dealership Repair plan will repair your motorcycle at official brand dealerships with original manufacturer parts, Garage Repair may use aftermarket parts for your repairs. Garage repair plans are often significantly cheaper.

Limiting your mileage

A shorter distance ride means less risk of accidents. Selecting a policy with a kilometer limit can greatly impact your premium. This option might not be available for all motorcycles.

Named Rider

By naming no more than two riders on your policy, you can often lower your insurance cost premium.

Maintaining a clean riding record

Having a clean driving record will ensure your renewal premium stays low. Some insurers offer no-claims bonuses for accident-free years.

Special Coverage and Additional Extras

24/7 Roadside Assistance cover

This can include services like towing, battery jump-starts, flat tire changes, fuel delivery, and lockout services.

Accidental Cover for damages to tires, battery, lubricant & coolant

Some plans offer coverage for parts prone to wear and tear, even in accidents.

Courtesy motorcycle Cover

Some policies cover the cost of a replacement vehicle while yours is being repaired.

Theft Cover for belongings

Some plans extend coverage to your personal belongings on the motorcycle.

Charging Equipment Cover

For EV motorcycles, some plans cover charging equipment and related liabilities.
